The unique action of the Stomacher uses paddles to homogenize samples through a combination of crushing and stirring forces. Gamma-irradiated sterile disposable bags (order separately) allow you to homogenize and transport samples without changing containers or handling sterile samples.Stomacher 400C processes larger sample volumes from 80 to 400 mL. It features one-touch user-programmable time, three paddle speeds, and “hands-free” auto-run. The unique patent-pending curved paddle design produces homogenization through a combination of crushing and stirring.

 

During operation, the curved paddles and an island baffle mold the bag contents into a tubular ring for vigorous stirring and circulation of the sample from top to bottom, extracting more organisms into suspension than any other blending process.
